5 Best Granite Countertop Shops in Calgary Homeowners Should Know
A terrible red wine stain permanently soaked through my cheap kitchen counter during a family gathering last spring. The ugly blemish made a remodel urgent, and solid granite stood out as the most durable replacement.
The search quickly became stressful after discovering how many retailers outsource their cutting to third parties. A single measurement error leaves uneven seams and ruins an entire slab, making seasoned craftspeople absolutely essential.
So I contacted custom stonemasons, visited local showrooms, and talked to interior designers to uncover the best granite countertop shops in Calgary. Here’s my list of reliable experts if you ever need to upgrade your countertop as well!
How much does a granite countertop cost in Calgary?
Standard installed granite countertops in Calgary typically run from $60 to $155 per square foot, depending on the stone’s quality tier.
| Granite Tier | Price Range (Per Sq. Ft. Installed) |
| Entry-Level | $60 – $105 |
| Mid-Range | $80 – $135 |
| Exotic / Premium | $110 – $155+ |
1. The Granite Guys
Website: calgarygraniteguys.ca
Address: 829 Highfield Ave SE, T2G 4C7
Contact: (403) 243-200 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Saturday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
What I like about The Granite Guys is how much of the remodelling process they handle under one roof. You can choose your slab and even lay out templates directly on the stone at their shop.
I stopped by to see this myself, and being able to line up the natural veins exactly where I wanted them was honestly pretty cool.
Their templates are also handcrafted to match the curves of your walls. That helps create a seamless fit during installation.
If you’re coordinating other upgrades, pairing the stone work with professional kitchen remodelling can also make the process easier.
The main drawback is the workmanship guarantee. It only lasts one year and applies only to the original buyer.
Still, their in-house leathering equipment and broad selection of exotic granite are appealing.
Exceptional Service and Seamless Countertop Installation
This was our first experience with The Granite Guys and I have to say, from the initial contact with Kimberley, to the installation of our new countertop by Jay and Paul and final touch by Jordon the plumber, I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone thinking who is thinking of remodeling their home. During the installation process we were kept advised of what they were doing, advising of noise control as well.
We are very pleased with the final outcome of our experience. Thank you Kimberley, Jay, Paul and Jordon.

UNIQUE COUNTERTOPS LTD handles the entire project from start to finish. With more than two decades of trade experience, they can source high-grade slabs directly.
They also use precision machinery to cut and polish each piece for accurate dimensions and clean edges. That’s especially useful for more complicated kitchen layouts.
Their installation crew is skilled at creating tight seams across heavy stone. They also provide after-sales support and clear warranty terms.
Overall, the process sounds well organised once the project is underway.
The main issue for me is the deposit policy. They require an upfront payment before confirming the project schedule. That means you’re committing funds before custom fabrication begins.

Great Service and Efficient Worktop Fitting
We had our worktops installed last week. We were very happy with the service we received right from the start. We spoke with Sarbjit and Ranjit over the phone a few times who gave us a competeive price and then showed us few samples at their showroom. Once we had chosen the style we wanted, he organised a template to be done very next day. After the template, the installation was booked in for the following week. It wasn’t the easiest install as we live in a third floor flat, but the installers did a great job.

3. Stone Legacy Marble & Granite Inc.
Website: stonelegacy.ca
Address: 1055 26 Street NE, T2A 6K8
Contact: (587) 971-6395 | (587) 436-6395 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Saturday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
What stands out to me about Stone Legacy Marble & Granite Inc. is that it’s an independent family business that keeps its fabrication work in-house. They handle their own precision cutting, which gives them direct control over measurements and seams.
A neighbour of mine recently used them for a kitchen renovation and noticed the turnaround was particularly fast because nothing was outsourced.
I also like the personalised approach. Working directly with their craftsmen means the finished surface can be designed around how you actually use your kitchen.
Free estimates are another plus if you want to plan your budget without pressure.
The biggest drawback is their limited weekend availability. They’re only open for a few hours on Saturdays, which can make a showroom visit difficult if you work standard weekday hours.
Smooth Process and Stunning Finished Granite
We recently had granite installed on our kitchen island and countertops, and it looks absolutely fabulous. From start to finish, this company was incredibly easy to work with and very accommodating. The entire process—from ordering the granite, to fabrication, to installation—was smooth and stress-free. Every person we dealt with was professional, helpful, and genuinely amazing. We couldn’t be happier with the quality of the work or the finished result. Highly recommend!

Address: No.7, 3611-27th Street N.E., T1Y5E4
Contact: 403.769.9064 | Fax: 403.769.9065 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM | Saturday, By Appointment
Western Granite & Stone Ltd. stands out to me because of its transferable ten-year warranty. I think that’s especially useful if you might sell your home since the warranty passes to the next owner.
Their slabs also receive an FDA-compliant sealer before installation, giving the stone immediate protection against spills.
I also like their installation timeline. They guarantee completion within ten business days of the final template measurements.
They work closely with cabinet makers as well, which helps ensure the stone sits level on new cabinetry.
The main concern is their repair policy. If something goes wrong with the fabrication, the company decides whether to repair or replace it. You don’t get much say in which option is chosen.
There’s also a mandatory upfront consultation deposit.
Exceptional Team and Beautiful Quartz Countertops

From our first meeting with Candace to the template appointment to install, the Western Granite staff were knowledgeable, professional and super helpful. 5. AA Granite Marble & Quartz Ltd.
Website: aagranitemarblequartz.ca
Address: 1530 27 Ave NE #136, T2E 7S6
Contact: (403) 279-2278 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Saturday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
AA Granite Marble & Quartz Ltd. caught my eye because of its selection. They carry more than a hundred granite styles sourced directly from international quarries in places such as Brazil and India.
They give you access to unusual colours and mineral patterns that you may not find through a standard distributor.
Their crew also puts a strong focus on clean workmanship. They apply a high-grade sealant to help protect countertops from everyday stains. That’s a useful combination of selection and practical protection.
The main limitation is showroom access on Sundays. They’re completely closed to walk-ins that day. If Sunday is your only day off, you’ll need to arrange an appointment ahead of time to view full slabs in person.
Scheduling can also occasionally be delayed when their project queue gets busy.
Competitive Pricing and Quick Issue Resolution
A few weeks ago we had AA Granite, Marble & Quartz install quartz countertops in our own home and in a rental property we own. Jet and his team were great to deal with and did a fantastic job. Pricing was very competitive and the quality of the counter and installation was great. Most importantly, when there was a minor issue with the installation of one countertop, there was no trying to pass it off or explain it away. Jet immediately set out to correct the issue by cutting new backsplash pieces and was back within days to re-install.

Stunning Kitchen Workmanship and Friendly Guidance
AA Granite, Marble & Quartz Ltd did an excellent job on my sister’s kitchen. It looks stunning. The owner of this company is one of the nicest people to talk to and he’ll spend lots of time reviewing the different types of stone with you. The workmanship on my sister’s kitchen is excellent. We are definitely going to hire them when we get our kitchen redone in the near future.
