The 5 Best Tennis Clubs in Calgary That Serve up the Best Matches

  • Facility Quality: We checked the condition and variety of available playing surfaces. Clubs with well-maintained courts and reliable lighting scored higher on our list.

  • Membership Flexibility: We looked at how easy it is to book court time or join without huge upfront fees. Options that welcome the public or offer monthly payments stood out.

  • Coaching Standards: We evaluated the experience level of the instructors leading the programs. Programs with certified professionals and low player-to-coach ratios earned top marks.

  • Community Vibe: We considered the social atmosphere and organised events for everyday players. We prioritised clubs running regular doubles leagues and round robins.

  • Value for Money: We weighed the annual fees against the perks and playing time provided. We made sure the costs made sense for the average local player.

We spoke with a client who plays in their singles ladder league, and they said the welcoming social atmosphere is a big highlight. They also enjoyed spending time at the rustic clubhouse, which they described as feeling like a tight-knit community.

On top of that, the on-site fitness centre gives players a convenient place to warm up before hitting the courts.

  • Clubhouse with shower facilities
  • Dedicated on-site fitness centre

Cons

Excellent non-profit tennis club

Several of our customers have been members of the Mount Pleasant Tennis Club for many years. They have great things to say about their experiences here and many great things to say about the players who play here. We are happy to string racquets for these players and we are also happy to refer players to this excellent non-profit tennis club.

This is a really nice place to play

Visited this tennis club as part of an interclub league.  This is a really nice place to play with great courts and a very nice setting.  The people who hosted us were fantastic.  If I lived in the area I would certainly join.
