We appreciate how calm and collected Geoff is during the shoot, putting the entire entourage at ease during the shoot. He even makes the photoshoot light, allowing him to capture the raw emotions of each and everyone during the big day.

Another thing that we like about dealing with this wedding photographer is the timely turnover of wedding photos. 

Of course, almost all couples are excited to see what happened during their big day, so it’s great that they don’t have to wait for a year to see the final shots.

However, it’s worth highlighting that since Geoff Photography has a high client demand, booking may have to be done at least a year before the actual wedding day.

For over 20 years, Nicole of Nicole Sarah Photography has been providing wedding photography and engagement shoots for couples in Calgary. Aside from weddings, she also covers maternity shoots.

Her portfolio has a light and airy feel to it, making her a perfect choice for those who a fresh yet timeless vibe to their wedding photos. However, those who require a more moody style may have to look for another vendor.

We’re quite pleased with how she communicated with us right off the bat. Even better, she suggested other wedding vendors that are aligned with the couples’ personalities.

Another thing that we love about her is that she can recommend engagement shoot locations to clients, helping them plan without stressing out.

What sets this wedding photography is that they have photo printing services. Because of this, they can produce the final copies and albums of the edited wedding photos on time.

It’s quite commendable that Sarah from Sarah Pukin Photography offers a diverse portfolio, perfect for every client that requires various themes and creative styles.

From the initial conversion, we loved how she made us feel comfortable. Because of this, clients can align their requirements and wishlist for their wedding without feeling intimidated.

What’s great about this wedding photographer is that she can handle surprise proposals well. Clients appreciate that she can communicate in private, providing clear instructions in a discreet manner.

When it comes to pre-wedding shoots, we’re impressed that she was able to plan and organize everything that’s needed during the day. On top of that, clients love how they can let go on the big day knowing that Sarah’s team is on top of things.

Additionally, we love how meticulous she is during the shoot, ensuring everything is in place. She constantly checks the lighting, if the background is clear, and if the hair is out of place, which is a plus in our books.

We’re even impressed with how she remains proactive and professional even during harsh weather, ensuring the clients are still comfortable while she gets perfect shots.

However, Sarah Pukin Photography’s rates are a bit premium. Couples who are on a budget may have to choose another provider.

We love that JM from JM Photography was thorough in asking his clients questions, ensuring that he got the proper briefing even before sharing the contract. 

We like that he also takes time to go through all the photo pegs, aligning the possibilities with his clients.

When it comes to timelines, we love how he walks through the schedule to his clients. He would even send text reminders about props, attire, and other shoot details, just to make sure everyone on the team is on the right page.

We also appreciate that he shares his positive energy with his clients. He even cracked jokes while taking goofy shots, which resulted in natural-looking shots during the big day.

In fact, clients mentioned that there were a lot of times that they didn’t feel like they were already taking photos, which is a plus in our books.

Another thing that we appreciate about him is that he goes above and beyond the agreed shot list. We commend him for thinking beyond the box, giving clients extra creative photos that they may not have initially thought of.

We also love how he constantly checks in with the couple during the big day, asking if they still have further shot requests.

We love how clients can easily reach out to her even beyond business hours. We even appreciate how she manages to get on a video call with her clients who are residing in another country, ensuring they remain aligned with the plans.

Aside from wedding photography, we love that clients can also tap them for their videography services. This is perfect for couples who don’t want their photos and videos to have a similar creative style.

When it comes to engagement shoots, we appreciate her location recommendations. Even better, we haven’t seen those places in her portfolio, which tells us that she frequently does her research.

We love that they can accommodate requests for date changes without additional fee.

However, most of the couples encountered a slow turnaround of edited wedding photos. Because of this, couples who are in a rush to get the final output may have to look for another wedding photographer.

Nonetheless, they send out sneak peek photos a week after the big day, allowing clients to at least have a glimpse of what happened during the day.

Seeing them work in real time is such a pleasure! They are such wonderful people and will go above and beyond to make your day special. Brendan and Adele were so accommodating despite the stress of a wedding—we can’t say enough about them!

They’re pretty flexible too! For this ceremony we attended, they were super understanding when a major change was made to the location of the shoot. The professionalism is indeed admirable! 

Plus, the photos were truly breathtaking, they know how to capture moments that epitomize love, and we’re so happy that we got to witness all this!

Truly did make our wedding day come to life

It has been a year and we still cannot get over how amazing Adele and Brendan were. They helped make our special day seamless and captured it so well. From the booking to the planning, they were phenomenal and so personable. Even my dad commented how amazing it was that we had photographers who took time to get to know everyone (us, our family, and even our wedding party) personally. Coming from Toronto for our wedding planning in Calgary, we very spontaneously connected with him and he even made himself available just a few days later for our engagement shooting in the mountains before we had to head back home.

Not only were those already the most stunning combination of landscape pictures and a romantic spotlight on us, they were also ready to go in no time.

Prior to our wedding day, Arjuna patiently consulted us remotely and very transparently on a realistic shooting schedule for the day.

Meg’s favorite thing to focus on in shoots are the little details—the bouquet, the jewelry, the invitations, and close-up portraits of the couple are her speciality. We had so much fun getting to know her, our session with her felt like a couple of friends catching up!

She’s very flexible and accommodating. We had a lot of last-minute changes due to the weather, but Meg was quick on her feet and the whole experience was not stressful at all. It was so refreshing to meet someone so agile, especially on such a special day. 

Her full day wedding rate starts at around $3000, but she has a lot of options for half-day shoots as well. Meg only books a few weddings each year, so it would be remiss not to book her ASAP!

We’re so happy that we chose studio Lumen for our big day! From their work on the website, We immediately knew that studio Lumen was the one! Jean Marc and his team are great to work with. From our first phone conversation to several online meetings afterwards, Jean Marc patiently explained everything, answered our questions and most importantly tried to get to know us to make sure we get what we’re looking for. For some reason we couldn’t have an engagement session before the wedding and the wedding day was the first day to meet with the team. However, it felt like we knew him for a long time.
