As far as I can remember, my best friend has always hated her glasses. No matter how much I told her that they looked fine, she always found a way to complain about them.
I thought I had heard the worst of it until her birthday last week. She took one look at her pictures and started sobbing about how her glasses ruined her outfit. Right then and there, I decided to help her solve her problem.
I got to work right away and secretly started asking other guests for suggestions on where to go for LASIK. Some of them gave recommendations on the best clinics in Calgary. After a bit more research, I’ve finally compiled everything about them below.

Naturally, all of this would be useless without their amazing surgeons, who are extremely professional and knowledgeable. It’s impossible not to feel like you’re in good hands in their presence.
What I especially like is that their care doesn’t stop once your surgery is complete. They’ll also do a personal check-in call after a few days, just to make sure that you’re okay and that there are no issues.
We can’t forget about the attentive staff, who are always there to handle everything you need. They’re great at arranging appointments, answering calls, and providing support.
The only thing they might have to improve on is communication. Sometimes, they provide so much information right before surgery, which isn’t always the best time for patients.

Gimbel Eye Centre was the first-ever clinic to do laser correction surgery in Canada, and they’ve got patients who still thank them for their work decades later.
Those who are interested can start their journey by booking an appointment. It’s usually super easy using their system, and waiting times are practically non-existent here.
Once you’re in, their doctors will conduct an initial consultation to check if you’re eligible for surgery. Unfortunately, this does require a pricey non-refundable deposit fee, regardless of whether you can go ahead with LASIK.
But if everything seems in order, then you’ll have nothing else to worry about. The surgeons are kind and caring. And from what I gather, an overwhelming majority of previous clients say that the procedure tends to be quick and painless.

Mitchell Eye Centre is probably the most organized clinic you’ll ever visit. You won’t feel any stress the moment you walk through their doors.
Starting with the front desk, you’ll be welcomed warmly and informed of what to expect. There’s usually a short wait once they’ve gotten your details, but I’ll bet you’ll hardly notice it before you’re being led to your appointment.
Now, unlike the speedy reception, the doctors here like to take their time with each patient. Despite how busy they are, they’ll listen to all of your concerns and go through each detail of the surgery with you.
You’ll also be happy to hear that the surgeons are on another level. They’re so good at what they do that those suffering from complications from other clinics go to them for help.
Just make sure you ask all your questions before you leave. The clinic barely answers calls, and voicemails usually go unnoticed.

There are plenty of reasons why so many people get referred to Vector Eye Centre for their vision correction surgeries. Firstly, they offer a variety of refractive treatments, including LASIK, RLE, ICL, and PRK, depending on what suits your case best.
Another advantage is that they have a multilingual team that can communicate in English, Polish, and Cantonese, to name a few. I think this in particular shows just how patient-focused they are.
They can communicate effectively and provide complete details. It’s even quite common for patients to praise them for being thorough in giving pre- and post-operation instructions.
The actual surgery won’t take too long, with some clients saying theirs took less than 30 minutes. Most people don’t even feel a thing!
In fact, I’ve heard complaints that their waiting time was longer. Sadly, it seems that this happens because the clinic stacks appointments every now and then.
