As far as I can remember, I’ve always had digestive issues. I’ve gone to a few specialists over the years, but none of them have been fully successful in treating me, so I’ve kind of given up on looking for a cure.
That is, until a friend suggested seeking out a naturopath. She says her favorite clinic helped her out with something similar, and she’s never looked back.
She sounded so adamant about it that I couldn’t help but be intrigued. And after falling down a rabbit hole of research, I found that Calgary actually has a ton of popular centres and practitioners.
In case anyone else is interested in their services, I’ve taken the liberty of listing the naturopathic clinics with plenty of loyal clients and glowing recommendations.
How much do naturopathic services cost in Calgary?
In Calgary, naturopathic services typically cost around $150 to $300 per session. The first appointment tends to be more expensive than follow-up visits as it usually involves a comprehensive health assessment.

Grassroots Naturopathic Medicine Health Clinic understands that not everyone is familiar with this branch of healthcare. And so they’ve created an optimized process where you can get answers every step of the way.
Working with them starts with being matched with the right practitioner and receiving a comprehensive assessment. Their goal is to find the cause of ailments like celiac disease or pelvic pain, instead of treating their symptoms.
Part of why we have confidence in them is that they really customize their plans according to each client. Some of their patients, so young they could hardly form sentences, are given supplements, while others have IV therapy or counseling.
That being said, be prepared to see them for a couple of sessions. Although people say they saw improvements after a month, it was usually the result of weekly appointments.
This leads me to their issues with scheduling — make sure to confirm before arriving, since the clinic is known for cancelling consultations.

Neurvana Naturopathic Medicine is currently the most advanced integrative clinic in Calgary. Compared to other facilities, they typically conduct more laboratory testing and often use state-of-the-art equipment for their procedures.
They’re one of the select few places that offer neurofeedback training and QEEG brain mapping. Many have said that these were the treatments that helped them when everything else failed.
Some of the conditions they’ve dealt with include autoimmune diseases, chronic pain, hormonal imbalances, and mental health disorders.
But of course, their patients wouldn’t have been able to work through these without their supportive practitioners. These experts are always ready to listen and explore alternative routes when one doesn’t seem to be the best fit.
As you can probably tell by now, this level of service doesn’t come cheap. Even some of their tests are incredibly pricey from the get-go.

Nova Naturopathic Clinics adheres to the principles of naturopathic medicine by prioritizing healthy regimens over medications and surgery. The latter are mainly saved as a last resort.
This doesn’t mean that they do everything naturally, through vibes and guesswork. Their experts still heavily rely on testing to understand your symptoms and fine-tune their plans down the line.
They’ve successfully improved the lives of those experiencing digestive, cardiovascular, and hormone-related issues. The wealth of information they share has also been a source of relief for many.
We especially like that patients are very involved in the process. There have been many stories about how clients have never felt ignored when sharing any pain or symptoms.
Just make sure you don’t go past your allotted 45 minutes. Any longer and they’ll charge you an expensive fee for an extended follow-up appointment.

Advanced Naturopathic Medical Centre offers comprehensive programs for its patients. There are casual ones, like plans intended for athletes or weight loss, and there are also those meant to address conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome or cancer.
These come with set tests and therapies that are meant to optimize your bodily functions. Still, their experts will adjust treatment plans accordingly, depending on your lab results.
But if you feel that none of these are designed for you, the clinic also provides individual therapies. We were actually impressed to learn that they have dome infrared saunas, biotherapeutic drainage, and Flowpresso, which is quite rare in Calgary.
Don’t be fooled by what they say about their initial appointments, though. They may advertise that they come with examinations, but they’re ultimately not included in the price, and will show up as a separate charge in your final bill.
