Ever since I met her, I fully believed that my best friend was meant to be a mother. She absolutely adores children and is really great at handling them.
So when she got married, our whole friend group thought it wouldn’t be long before she’d have her own bundle of joy. But years passed, and it seemed like the stork delivery service just refused to visit her.
Recently, she finally confided in me, saying that she and her husband were having trouble conceiving. She needed suggestions on where to turn to.
I immediately began asking around and found a handful of facilities that have helped couples who were in the same boat. Below, you’ll find the very same list that I passed on to her.

In Calgary, fertility clinics typically charge around $700 to upwards of $10,000. The final rate will depend on what procedure you want, with embryo storage being on the more affordable end, and IVF usually being the most expensive service.

I’m not just talking about their equipment when I call them modern, though. They’re also the leading facility for LGBTQ2SIA+ treatment options locally, offering inclusive support for queer couples and individuals.
Of course, this wouldn’t be possible without their staff members, who are known for being extremely kind and compassionate. They treat everyone with the respect and care they deserve in these challenging situations.
It’s also through their support that people find the courage to undergo multiple procedures. Their efficiency and seamless service ease a lot of the stress involved.
But as amazing as they are, they do occasionally fall short in scheduling. Over the years, there have been multiple complaints about late appointments, issues with rescheduling, and last-minute cancellations.

Just as their name suggests, the Holistic Institute of Health prioritizes holistic fertility treatments over highly technological procedures. Their experts usually mix and match services for clients to find which combo works for each one.
From what I’ve gathered, patients are usually prescribed sessions for acupuncture, chiropractic, massages, and pelvic floor physiotherapy. These are meant to help mothers from the time they’re prenatal up until they’re postnatal.
Don’t worry if you’re a bit iffy with needles or the cracking associated with chiropractic. The experts here prioritize comfort above all, and they’ll assist you with overcoming your fear through clear communication.
However, some people aren’t able to get the full experience because of the facility’s equipment, specifically with how some of the mats they use for treatments aren’t always pristine.

The Acupuncture and Health Centre isn’t your typical fertility clinic, considering they mainly rely on the traditional practice of acupuncture to make miracles. But with the amount of successful pregnancies under their belt, this might be exactly what you need.
We’re not kidding when we say that sticking needles is most of what they do. They don’t prescribe any drugs or medications for their treatment to work at all.
And what’s nice is that they understand that not everyone is familiar with this traditional Chinese method. So their patient practitioners take the time to explain what they’re doing and how it’s supposed to help.
It shouldn’t take long before you see the results for yourself. Most people say it took 2-3 months before becoming pregnant, along with benefits such as better sleep and less stress.
Our only wish is that they improve sanitation, since some of the blankets and pillows here don’t always seem to be that clean.

The Regional Fertility Program is usually a Calgarian couple’s first choice for a fertility clinic. The facility has been around since 1984 and has successfully delivered more than 17,000 babies.
As you can probably imagine, they get tons of patients every day — a huge factor in why their digital customer service isn’t the best. They don’t always answer calls, take a long time to respond to messages, and don’t even get us started on rescheduling.
But at the end of the day, they’re still one of the most well-equipped clinics out there. They essentially offer every fertility service under the sun, from sperm donation to surrogacy. The facility also has state-of-the-art tools for IVF and embryo freezing.
And despite how busy they are, their personnel still try to be as understanding as they can in person. They’re empathetic and supportive, and they do the work as efficiently as they can.
