Customer Reviews - We highlighted classes that consistently receive positive feedback for instructor quality and overall experience.

I typically prefer cardio to slower-paced workouts like Pilates and yoga. So when my friend invited me to a yoga class, I didn’t say yes right away.

But she twisted my arm by saying she’d treat me to a nearby cafe afterward, so I agreed. That was probably the best decision I’ve made this year.

Instead of simply running while listening to music, I was able to empty my mind and follow the slow, languid poses of our instructor. After the session, both my mind and body felt stronger and more refreshed!

As a new convert, I just want to share the best yoga classes in Calgary—the perfect spots for calmer minds and tougher bodies.

How much do yoga classes cost in Calgary?

Yoga classes in Calgary typically cost between $15 and $35 per drop-in session. Monthly memberships usually range from $80 to $180, depending on the studio and class offerings.

Very welcoming staff, well-maintained facility

“Very welcoming staff, well-maintained facility. Instructors are very professional and lovely. Was a semi-newbie to yoga and a complete newbie to hot yoga. The META classes are perfect for me! Encourages people to go at their own pace

“LOVE Krystal’s outdoor classes! I’m so thankful for these classes as they remove so many barriers – specifically financial, as it’s pay what you can, which is so helpful for me, personally. She always encourages people to go at their own pace and modify as necessary, which I also appreciate. Stanley Park is also such a beautiful place to practice in. Highly recommend attending!!!”

Soul and its instructors and classes are truly special!

“Soul and its instructors and classes are truly special! I’m doing their intro special and will for sure continue my practice at this studio. After trying another yoga studio nearby, I found that this one’s welcoming energy, skilled instructors, and diverse classes were exactly in alignment with what I’ve been looking for (I especially love their warm classes, meditation classes, flows, and other fusion classes with weights, etc). Their name is 100% reflected in every class. Love it!”

The best class I have found in any yoga studio in Calgary

“I love Amy’s warm explore class on Monday afternoons. This is the best class I have found out of any yoga studio in Calgary to help work on alignment and posture for the positions. I really like how Amy gives clear instructions, and nothing is rushed. It’s truly a judgment-free class that helps you refine your practice! Also, the studio has very kind staff and a very clean space.”

The Yoga Studio of Calgary was the first commercial studio to open its doors back in 1996. No wonder they’ve become one of the go-to yoga studios in the city.

Their unique Yoga for Curvy Women class creates a safe and inclusive space for plus-size practitioners. This session is for those who want to honor their bodies while building a consistent and inspiring practice.

Similarly, expectant mothers will find great value in their Prenatal Yoga sessions, designed to support a more functional birthing experience. You’ll learn about pelvic alignment and balance here, which are essential for a smooth delivery.

What we love about this place is that they offer affordable drop-in rates ($25 per class) and monthly passes.

Sure, the studio can seem cramped at times, but most students believe it’s well worth the visit.

An amazing assortment of classes in a zen setting

“The Yoga Studio offers an amazing assortment of classes in a zen setting. I attend yoga for better backs with Spring Lambrakos. I have bursitis in my shoulder – after a couple of months of attending, I am now pain-free, have a better range of motion, and sleep better. I also notice my posture improved (the hump at the back of my neck is reducing significantly!!). Spring is extremely knowledgeable in her practices, helpful to every student, and a warm, caring soul. She has a great sense of humour, which helps when challenging us to do better! I have also taken a few classes from Brett Heilman, who is a promising new instructor with a calming demeanor and high skill level – I felt great after his classes! The prices are affordable, and they often offer specials!”

Has made my pregnancy so much more comfortable

“Monica’s Prenatal Yoga class has made my pregnancy so much more comfortable, manageable, and even enjoyable. I’m in my 3rd session of classes and still learning new poses and techniques in every class. Yoga is one of the research-backed prenatal activities that can help with labour and delivery, so I knew I wanted to try it out. I’m so glad I listened to multiple friends’ recommendations for The Yoga Studio of Calgary. The community that Monica has created and the soreness, tightness, and pain the class relieves each week has been such a gift in these uncomfortable months!”

Yoga Santosha has been a cornerstone of the local wellness community since 2007 under the leadership of Alastair and Candace.

Most of their students love the Lunch Flow sessions, which are ideal for busy professionals looking to reset during a hectic workday.

Of course, traditional classes are also available. A popular one is their Ashtanga-Inspired sessions that were curated to help purify the mind while improving physical strength through consistent, breath-led movement.

Our favorite part of the studio is their on-site massage therapy menu. You can turn your yoga sesh into a total self-care experience without going somewhere else.

This is truly one of the best studios in Calgary!

“This is truly one of the best studios in Calgary! The space is clean and spacious, with a wonderfully calming atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and decompress. I often come over my lunch hour, and every single time I leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and energized for the rest of the day.”

Felt so relaxed, open, and calm afterwards

“My instructor, Amy, was super friendly and funny. Bodhi Tree is located on a very busy road, but once you walk in, it seems as if everything stops and you’re in a whole different world. The atmosphere was really relaxing and cozy, and everyone was super friendly. My class went and had a private session, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Felt so relaxed, open, and calm afterwards. Great first experience, will definitely go back again.”
