Self-care looks different for everyone. Some people unwind at pilates studios, others treat themselves at local cupcake shops, and many refresh their style with a new piercing.
If you’re planning your next piercing, choosing a clean studio with experienced piercers and high-quality jewelry is just as important as picking the design itself.
To help you get started, I explored the best piercing studios in Calgary and highlighted the ones known for their skill, safety, and customer care. Wear your new look with confidence.

Warm and Helpful Piercing Studio
This is the best piercing studio by far. All the staff is so warm, helpful and welcoming. I’ve been going to Dee to get curated ear piercings for the past couple months. She so kind, explains the process, and makes sure I’m comfortable. You can tell she’s experienced and makes the whole procedure quick. Sadie and Halle spent so much time with me picking out the right jewelry and making sure it would look good in my ear. The space itself is clean and inviting. Thank you so much coven body arts!

As for the actual piercings here, your visit includes a custom ear mapping session that gives you 20 minutes to plan the layout before anything starts. Plus, the standard jewelry comes built into the base price to keep costs simple.
Fortunately, if you book online, you can get 1 piercing for $50 or 2 piercings for $90, both available as online booking specials instead of paying the regular walk-in price.

Amazing and Clear Piercing Process
Spontaneously decided to get my rook piercing today. Maddy was amazing. Super friendly and explained everything very clearly. She was also able to stretch the holes i already had so I could fit flat backs into them. I would recommend this studio and Maddy any day.

Great Service and Helpful Staff
There’s a reason this studio has a lot of high reviews! Don’t be fooled by the outside lol.
I got a conch piercing in Vancouver 4 weeks ago and this morning I woke up with the gem apparently missing and a lot of pain in my ear. I found this place online, called and said they could get me in right away. Laura helped me get the jewelry out and taught me how to keep it clean and what to expect. Honestly just all around a great experience. I hope they do very well in business.

Comfortable and Professional Septum Piercings
My fiance and I got septum piercings from Schantarra. It was a great experience for both myself, a novice to getting pierced, and my fiance who has more experience with it. She helped us both pick out some beautiful jewelry that would work with our metal sensitivities and the piercing itself was virtually painless. The studio itself was clean and tidy. We will definitely be going back

5. Gypsy Rose Tattoo & Piercing

Website: gypsyrosetattoo.com
Address: 3132 26th St. NE #102
Contact: 403-275-9844
Hours: Monday to Thursday 11:00 AM–7:00 PM | Friday & Saturday 10:00 AM–7:00 PM | Sunday 11:00 AM–5:00 PM
Backed by over 2 decades of work, Gypsy Rose Tattoo & Piercing puts as much care into healing as the piercing itself.
Here’s the thing: safety runs through every visit here. They print out proof of heat and pressure after each clean cycle of their medical tools, and the Provincial Lab of Alberta checks the gear each month, with results posted right at the front desk.
Single-use needles are the norm too, cutting down on germs.
From what I’ve observed, they also make healing way less stressful, thanks to their written care guide given to piercing customers.
It’s also notable that the studio backs the local food bank through drives and gifts.
Just remember, showing up more than five minutes late can cost you your appointment.

Great Experience and Fast Healing
Went in for a nose piercing and had a great experience. I’ve reacted to jewelry from other piercing studios before due to it being not pure titanium, but i’ve had no troubles with my nose ring from here. To my surprise my piercing healed within 2 weeks!
They have great prices compared to other studios in the area. Everyone was super kind and helpful. Studio was clean. I’m excited for my next visit 🙂

Careful and Attentive Piercing Care
Really appreciate Lucas and Sarah’s care and effort while piercing! The studio is sterile and comfortable. I had nice conversation with the front desk staff as well. When I had an issue with one of the piercings a few days later, they helped me to resolve the issue quickly and smoothly! I will recommend to others and come back 😊
